Free security scorecard
You’ve Been Asked to Prove You’re Secure. Do You Know the Answer?
A free, three-minute scorecard for UK founders and small teams. Plain questions about the domains, websites and services you expose to the internet, what you have, who owns it, and whether your records match what’s actually out there.
Free and self-reported. No sales call, nothing scanned, and nothing to install or hand over.
Why Take It?
In three minutes, find out how clearly you can:
See What’s Exposed
Whether you have a reliable picture of your internet-facing websites, domains and services.
Know Who Owns It
Whether each service has someone responsible for it, including those run by suppliers.
Keep It Under Control
Whether you catch forgotten services and update your records when things change.
What the Scorecard Looks At
Answer simple questions about your external assets, ownership, and visibility to get a clear picture of your gaps, no automated scanning required.
Your Inventory
Domains, websites, servers and services — and whether the list is current.
Ownership of Each Service
Who is responsible for it, including the ones an IT provider or supplier runs.
What’s Visible From Outside
Whether your records match what someone outside the organisation can find.
Changes and Handovers
What happens when a project ends or a supplier leaves. Old test sites and logins have a habit of staying online.
Admin and Remote Access
Whether remote-access and admin pages need to be reachable from the internet at all.
Unexpected Services
Whether you can confirm a service you didn’t expect belongs to you, and decide what to do about it.
You don’t need a perfect score. You need to know what to fix first.
Who’s Behind It

You deal directly with me — not an account manager.
I’m Ben Brown. I’ve spent more than a decade working in cybersecurity, including as a penetration tester and consultant at NCC Group.
Before that, I spent years running and working in businesses across publishing, import/export and international property development, in the UK, Mexico, Morocco and Italy. Some ventures succeeded. Others failed.
I put this scorecard together because most security advice starts with a sales pitch. This starts with a few honest questions — and gives you something useful whether you decide to work with me or not.
What People Say After Taking It
Feedback from people who’ve used the scorecard. These are scorecard takers, not clients.

Questions, Answered Plainly
A few things people ask before taking it. If yours isn't here, just ask.
Is the scorecard really free?
Yes. There’s no charge and no obligation. If the result suggests you’d benefit from help, I’ll explain what that would involve and what it costs. If you don’t need it, I’ll tell you that too.
How long does it take?
About three minutes. It’s a short set of questions, not a full security audit.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. Answer from what you know. If you’re unsure about something, say so — that tells you something useful too.
Will you try to sell me a penetration test?
No. The point of the scorecard is to help you decide whether testing is worth the money. Sometimes the honest answer is that it isn’t yet.
What do I get at the end?
An instant result with your main risk areas and a short list of priorities, plus a plain-English next step.
Is my information safe?
Please don’t enter passwords, credentials or sensitive technical details. The scorecard asks how your organisation works, not for access. Your answers are used to produce your result and, if you ask, to follow up. The form is provided by GoHighLevel; see the privacy notice for details.
